When you purchase a PressureJet Pump or complete system for your high pressure jetting, hydro test, feeding or any other service, you are purchasing the best pump available in the market place. PressureJet pumps are manufactured using high quality materials and are designed to give many years of good sound operation.

While PressureJet pumps are engineered to operate continuously, certain components require on going inspection and maintenance. Please refer to the individual pump/system maintenance manual for those details. To assist you evaluate the pump, the following lists the expected life of the liquid end components when the pump is operating within PressureJet operating guidelines.

MANIFOLD : The manifold of the pump is considered a lifetime component. That is, unless improper operating has resulted, this component will not require either maintenance or replacement.

SUCTION & DISCHARGE VALVE & VALVE SEAT : Although designed to give many useful hours of operation, the valve and valve seat is not considered a lifetime component. The surface of the valve and valve seat should be inspected between 500 and 1,000 hours of operation. Any pitting or scratches that are discovered must be lapped out. If the pitting and or scratches are too deep, the valve and valve seat must be replaced.

VALVE SPRING: Valve springs should be changed every 2,000 hours of operation.

O-RINGS: O-rings should be inspected between 500 and 1,000 hours of operation. If fraying and or tears are evident, replace the particular O ring.

PLUNGERS: Though plungers are continously running and rubbing, but they are made of solid ceramic, plungers are considered long life component. They also should be inspected between 1,500 to 2,000 hours of operation. If scratches are evident, replace the plunger.

PACKING : Packing is a normal wear item. It is typical that packing at the elevated operating pressures will start to leak in about 800 -1200 hour period. When the leakage results in a drop off of operating pressure or pulsing of the discharge pressure, replace the packing.

BACK UP RINGS : Back up rings should be changed when the packing is changed.

If pump is properly maintained and oil replacement is done time to time as per the instruction, life of the drive unit is more than 5000 hours.
